Why You Should Visit
A pork-bun event built around 11 November, 'Butaman Day', launched by three long-standing Kobe bun makers: Roushouki in Nankinmachi, Shikoro in Motomachi and Sannomiya Ikkanro. The 15th edition coincides with Roushouki's 111th anniversary and spreads different programmes across 8–15 November. The eve party unveils each shop's summit-only bun and crowns the new KOBE Butaman Girl, and on the 10th Nankinmachi Square hosts a Guinness World Records attempt. On 14–15 November shops from Yokohama, Nagasaki, Sendai, Hakodate and elsewhere join in, selling limited buns in Nankinmachi and at Daimaru Kobe. If you want to taste and compare, the weekend is the main event.

- Early sale at Soka Paozukan on 11 Nov (11:00–17:00)
- Each box comes with a bun lottery ticket; 30 each per day of vouchers for 5 Roushouki buns, or 3 buns at Shikoro or Sannomiya Ikkanro's main shop (11, 14 and 15 Nov)
- Every eve-party guest receives one set (exchanged for the ticket stub afterwards)
