Why You Should Visit

Kakogawa's fireworks avoid crowds by launching from several sites across the city at the same time, for just 15 minutes. On Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 19:00, six sites (Shikatacho Hara, Kakogawa riverbed, Yahatacho Nakanishijo, Kannocho Nishinoyama, Kakogawa river mouth and Befucho Minatomachi) each fire 600 shells, 3,600 in total. There are no viewing seats, food stalls or parking, and the city asks people not to gather near the launch sites, so the idea is to watch from home or your neighbourhood. BAN-BAN TV and YouTube stream it live. The point of this event is that fireworks are visible across a wide area of the city.

What time do the fireworks start?

From 19:00 to 19:15, a 15-minute show. That is 30 minutes earlier than last year.

What if it rains?

It may be cancelled at short notice in severe weather or strong wind. Cancellations are announced on the city website and social media.
