Why You Should Visit

A community festival at Himeji Port, centered on Shikamatsu Rinko Park. At the Marine Festa you can board the JSDF transport ship Amatsusora and the Himeji Coast Guard patrol boat Nunobiki. In the park, local idols and community groups perform on stage, and stalls sell Central Harima specialties and local comfort food alongside hands-on exhibit booths. This year also marks the 150th anniversary of the Silver Carriage Road, with a walk from Jonan Park near Himeji Station to the port and a chance to meet Hayabu the pony. A good outing for families who like ships and the sea.
