Why You Should Visit

An autumn sake-tasting festival in the 2F atrium of Osaka Bay Tower, directly connected to Bentencho Station. Thirty-one breweries from across Japan bring more than 160 drinks, from sake to shochu, craft sake, mead, cider and craft beer, all included in a single Tasting Pass. This edition's theme is autumn: hiyaoroshi (autumn-aged sake), warmed sake and premium bottles for the year-end season, with brewers on hand to talk you through them. There is a hands-on booth for warmed and soda-mixed sake, a sales corner for bottles you liked, and a visitors' vote for the Washu Fes Awards. Each session runs 2 hours 10 minutes, and the venue is indoors, so weather is not a concern.

FAQ

Are tickets sold on the day?
Sales are advance only; the organiser has not announced same-day tickets, so buy the Tasting Pass beforehand. Past editions have sold out in advance.
Can I bring children?
No. Under-20s are not admitted, and children and strollers are turned away at the door. Adults only.
Can I attend both sessions?
The Tasting Pass is sold per session, so attending both means buying two. Each session lasts 2 hours 10 minutes with a full changeover in between.
Can I bring my own food?
No. Only water and soft drinks are allowed in. Food to go with the drinks is sold at the booths inside.
