Why You Should Visit
A market held every spring and autumn in Daishin Park, a leafy park in central Wakayama City. It began in 2018, and this 10th edition is themed 'Autumn Breeze Market'. Twenty-eight stalls line up: spice curry, tacos, banh mi, pizza and galettes, plus hand-drip coffee, matcha lattes and baked sweets. There are crafts too, from wooden goods to tableware made from Showa-era patterned glass, along with a kids' craft workshop and persimmon-tannin dyeing. A good pick for families who want a slow afternoon on the grass. Entry is free.
