Why You Should Visit

A summer fireworks festival lighting up the sky over Matogata Beach in Himeji with about 3,000 starmine fireworks. Four leading pyrotechnicians from western Japan join forces to present musical fireworks synchronized with live music and a finale of "shirasagi-color" crown fireworks. Around 100 food stalls line the venue, creating a classic seaside summer-festival atmosphere. Admission is free, but advance registration is required for safety management.
