Why You Should Visit

Sanda's signature summer festival, first held in 1978 to mark the city's 20th anniversary and now in its 47th edition. Spread across two adjoining venues — Satonone Hall and Sanda City Hall — the event brings together stage performances, a citywide bon-odori dance, food stalls, and kids' attractions under the long-standing slogan 'Kokoro no kayou, furusato Sanda' (a Sanda where hearts connect). Around 80,000 visitors attended the 2025 edition, making it one of the largest community festivals in northern Hyogo.
