Geopark Kasumi Squid Festival 2026

An early-summer food festival celebrating Kasumi's famous live squid, prized for its translucent flesh and crisp bite. At Satsu Beach you can watch live-squid cooking demonstrations, join a squid-filleting class (advance sign-up), and meet live squid at a touch pool. There's also turban-shell fishing, a janken contest, and food stalls serving grilled squid and ikameshi. A fun, family-friendly couple of hours by the Sea of Japan.
