2026 Japan Self-Defense Forces Come to Himeji Station!

Why You Should Visit

Meet active-duty members of the Japan Self-Defense Forces at this five-day event in the underground plaza north of Himeji Station. All activities are free: make a military-style paracord bracelet from rescue rope (takes 15–20 minutes), try a target-shooting game with JSDF goods as prizes, dress up in a real uniform, or spin a JSDF-exclusive capsule-toy machine. You might even meet Hyochin, the local mascot. Right by the station — an easy, family-friendly stop.
