FLAX Ashiya, a restaurant serving the regional cooking of Alsace, France, opened on September 15, 2026 in Kasugacho, Ashiya, near Hanshin Uchide Station. It is run by a French chef from Alsace with a baker, and has a takeout boulangerie on one side and a restaurant-café on the other. Signature items are the "pretz sandwich" made with pretzel dough and tarte flambée. The boulangerie opens 8:30–17:00 and the restaurant 11:00–22:00; closed Mondays.
