A free outdoor concert held to celebrate April 4th, Kobe Jazz Day. Set on a special stage in the city center, the event features performances by professional jazz musicians and youth big bands including the Kobe Youth Jazz Orchestra. It is a beloved spring tradition that fills the streets of Kobe with jazz and marks the beginning of the city's jazz season. Kobe Jazz Day was established in 2015 in recognition of Kobe as the birthplace of professional jazz performances in Japan.
