Why You Should Visit

The Toka Ebisu Festival will be held for three days from January 9 (Fri) to January 11 (Sun), 2026 at Yanagihara Ebisu Shrine in Kobe. This traditional New Year festival is widely known for prayers for business prosperity and family safety.

During the festival, visitors can receive lucky bamboo branches (Fukuzasa), amulets, and talismans, attend special prayers, enjoy traditional performances, and explore many food stalls. Highlights include Awaji Puppet Theater and the Tuna Dedication Ritual on January 9, Naniwa Kagura Sword Dance on January 10, and Bugaku “Ranryo-o” on January 11.
