Infiorata Kobe 2026 — 28th Flower Petal Art Festival

Why You Should Visit

Golden Week in Kobe means heading to Kitanozaka, where giant flower-petal artworks measuring about 5m by 10m brighten the sloping street. The 2026 theme is "Traditional Costumes of Kobe's Sister Cities," bringing colorful floral designs to the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Kitano.

During the event, the entire Kitanozaka street is covered with grass, creating a special seasonal setting. The floral artworks are scheduled to be completed gradually from the afternoon of May 3. Infiorata Kobe began as part of Kobe's recovery after the Great Hanshin Earthquake and has grown into one of the city's signature Golden Week traditions.

Where is the 2026 festival held?
This listing covers the Kitanozaka venue, held from May 3 to May 5, 2026.
When did Infiorata Kobe begin?
Infiorata Kobe began in 1997, born from a wish to bring beauty to the city as it recovered from the Great Hanshin Earthquake. The 2026 edition marks the 28th instalment.
