Why You Should Visit

An inclusive, barrier-free festival on the Kakogawa riverbed where everyone is welcome—people with and without disabilities, locals and visitors, adults and children alike. Spend the day exploring a sustainable market of crafts and handmade goods, a world food fest with dishes and sweets from many countries, live music and dance on stage, and an open-air art exhibition spread across the riverbed.

Hands-on workshops keep both kids and adults busy: build a free-form 'Future Kakogawa Town' out of cardboard and recycled materials, bake pizza in a real oven, paint plant pots, make T-shirts and bags, or try a disaster-prep pouch and a shooting game. The stage fills the riverbed with African music, Awa odori and Bon dance. A welcoming festival designed as a space where everyone can take part freely.
